Ever since my kid had a magician at his birthday party he has been obsessed with learning magic. We saw this Discovery Set at Timeless Toys and thought it would be perfect for him to learn.
This set is really great for teaching the kids the basic of magic. It has some really simple tricks like the Chamber of Illusion (now you see something in the box, now you don't) and the Chamber of Illusion (watch the ball jump from cup to cup). Most importantly, the way you execute the trick is simple so a 5 year old can learn it.
The real fun is seeing the whole showmanship of the thing. Get your kid a cape, top hat, and wand, and see him put on a show with the new tricks. At first, he had trouble hiding the actually illusion. But after a couple of shows, he actually got pretty good and pulling them off.
A great way to start your kid off on being the next Houdini.
